Welcome to Niles Valley United Methodist Church, located in the heart of Niles Valley in Middlebury Center, Pennsylvania. Our doors are open to you as we live by the Methodist Slogan - "Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors" We also have "Open Arms" waiting to welcome you. Niles Valley Church is different from a lot of Methodist Churches, as we are completely led by Lay Persons. I am a "Certified Candidate for Ministry"". At the present time we do have a retired pastor who is available for Baptism, Holy Communion and weddings. I will be attending Local Pastor’s Licensing School in the Fall and then will be able to provide the sacraments myself.

We have a wonderful spirit filled piano player who has written many songs and plays and sings as he is led by the Spirit of the Lord. Our service is a mix of Traditional and Modern Worship and Music. We are well blessed with prayer warriors and have seen many miracles come from our prayers. Prayer is a big part of our life in Christ.

Our motto is: "We are small, but with God’s help, we are mighty". It is simply amazing all the things that are accomplished by our small congregation. We do a lot of home missions, as well as missions outside our community and out in the world. We are involved in collecting can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House in Dansville, PA and have been able to involve many others in the surrounding communities to join us in this project. I wouldn’t even want to guess how many tabs we have submitted through the grace of God. We support "Seeds of Hope", which is a non profit organization that helps children be able to stay in their homes through volunteer efforts to make repairs, clean up living spaces, provide beds and other items as needed. We support many mission projects through financial donations.

One of our mission projects is being able to provide Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinner to those less fortunate than ourselves. We also participate in the Christmas Giving Tree Project. Members of our congregation and anyone who would like select a name from a list we are provided of local children and adults in need of Christmas gifts.

The church has a Women’s Cancer Support Group called the "Sister’s of Hope" and we make yarn angels for cancer patients in the Williamsport, Elmira, Corning, and Sayre treatment programs. The angels come with a message of hope, comfort, and encouragement for those who receive them.
