    September 21– Biking Outdoor Ministry 630 @ Rail Trail

    September 24 – Chicken BBQ for Roof/Building Fund

    October 16 – Don & Donna Mohl in concert @ 6:30.  Refreshments

    Help is needed for the Chicken BBQ on Saturday. Items are needed too

     

    HAVEN for Tioga County is currently taking orders for mums. $6per pot and orders with money due August 30. White, Red, Pink/Purple, Bronze/Orange & Yellow.

     

    We have officially kicked off our Roof/Building Fund Campaign. Our goal is $10,000. Pledge cards available or single donations accepted.

     

    Many thank you’s to those who support Relay for Life in any way, shape or form. What a blessing you all are as you reach out in an awesome way to serve and minister to those in our lives, neighborhoods and community.

     

    If anyone is interested in helping with Bible School – please see Kristi. We will need snacks, help with games and crafts. CEF will be doing the story and mission moment this year.

     

     

     

    Suicide Support Group for family members left behind will be held on the 2nd Thursday of each month.

     

    Blueberry sale has begun. Blueberries are $27 for a 10 pound box. Funds raised benefit the HUB of Mission Central in Westfield . I must have order and money by June 15. Checks payable to WDMC HUB.

    Outdoor Ministry is coming back. Monday evenings at 630 we will be walking and Wednesday evenings at 630 we will be biking. Starts at Butler Road Access of Rails to Trails.

    Suicide Support Group for family members left behind began on April 14th. It will be held on the 2nd Thursday of each month.

    Ashley has a sign up sheet for her fund raiser to go to Tennessee.

    Seeds of Hope – volunteer for Hope Room. See Carol Campbell.

    News 'n Notes

    Church Cookbook - Come to our Table  has arrived cost is $10.00

    Planet Green Fundraiser-www.planetgreeninc.com-Recycle cell phones ,ink and laser jet cartridges. Papers available to give to friends, family and coworkers. Anyone interested in packaging and taking care of this project see Kristi

    Women’s Cancer Support Group meets the third Tuesday of each month. The meetings are from 7 - 8 PM. All are welcome.

    Mission opportunities

    “Goodies for Our Troops” is always collecting personal hygiene and snack items.  There is a can for money donations in the back of the church and also a box for other donations.  They send one box each month to our local men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

    We are collecting greeting card fronts and canceled postage stamps. Cards cannot have any personal messages on them and stamps should be cut around the stamp.

    We continue to collect can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. The tabs are taken to Geisinger and used for credit for families who need a place to stay. A ministry on the move at no cost to you. Did you know it takes 1,267 tabs to make one pound?

    Check out the website at www.seedsofhopepartners.org to sign up as a volunteer, read meeting minutes, and to view the project list and needs. They are in need of diapers and baby items.

    "Angels of Hope" available for persons who need a lift, courage, a reminder there are those who are praying for them. These are free and made by our Women’s Cancer Support Group - "Sister’s of Hope". These are currently in place at Dr. Pagano’s Office in Williamsport, Williamsport Oncology Unit, Robert Packer Oncology Unit, Radiology Therapy and out patient Treatment Guthrie Clinic, Sayre , Corning Cancer Center, Faulk Cancer Center, Elmira. If you would like to make angels for this ministry, yarn can be purchased at WalMart or JoAnn Fabric. We can show you how to make them.

    If you have an idea for ministry, please share it with us. If you have a need, please feel free to share it with someone.

    Upper Rooms are available to you at no cost. Available in large and small print.

    Angel Food Ministries - for $30 a month you can get a good amount of food. Carol Campbell will be coordinating this for the church.
